Urban Farming Project
The RIF Center is pleased to announce a new urban farming project in partnership with Brooklyn Grange, a one-acre rooftop farm in Long Island City. Many RIF refugees bring years of farming experience with them from their home countries. This program will expand their skills into the growing field of urban farming, while also providing a therapeutic platform to recover from the aftermath of torture and persecution. Please help RIF launch this project with a tax-deductible contribution…Your donation will help sponsor an RIF Urban Farmer intern for the Spring/Fall 2011 7-month farming cycle.
